The provisional programme which includes chartering a historic steam train and a boat trip just for the Senate is:-

Saturday 6th April

Sunday 7th April

Monday 8th April

  • Walk from hotel to Beaumaris castle https://cadw.gov.wales/visit/places-to-visit/beaumaris-castle 
  • Walk from Castle to historic Beaumaris Courthouse
  • Walk from Beaumaris Courthouse to the Victorian Beaumaris Gaol with tour lead by the ‘governor’.
  • Lunch at a suitable point during the day
  • Free time to explore Beaumaris and follow the town trail.
  • Dinner in the Bull’s Head

Tuesday 9th April

  • 9:30 depart from hotel by coach for visits to
  • Bethesda
  • Betws-y-Coed
  • National Slate Museum
  • Plus a scenic train journey on the historic Ffestiniog railway from Blaenau to Porthmadog https://www.festrail.co.uk/  
  • Coach takes us to The Royal Ship, Dolgellau
  • Dinner in Dolgellau

Wednesday 10th April

  • 8:30 Coach departs for Talyllyn Railway and visit to museum & workshops plus scenic historic railway journey to Nant Gwernol and back to Tywyn Wharf on a chartered train https://www.talyllyn.co.uk/plan/experiences/  
  • Lunch
  • Coach takes us to Aberdyfi and time to explore the idyllic harbour resort and beach
  • Return to Royal Ship Hotel circa 17:30
  • Dinner in Dolgellau

Thursday 11th April

  • 9:30 Depart from Royal Ship
  • Visit Lake Vyrnwy
  • Lunch
  • Arrive at Hogsmere (Ellesmere College) circa 15:30

You do not need to pay the full cost of the pre tour just now. At the moment all I need is a £100 deposit per person so that I can reserve the rooms.
